Choose by trip type

Tap a type, then choose a destination. Pilgrimage, leisure, wildlife and other journeys are kept separate so the choices are easier to understand.

A birthday trip, chosen by season

Where could your next birthday take you?

Choose only the month and day. We match the likely travel season with destinations that suit it; this is practical travel timing, not a personality or astrology prediction.

TravelOnTales uses the month for seasonal matching. Sign in only if you want to save the month and day in your private profile.

Gets smarter with real choices

Popular destinations

How data science helps: the starting order is editorial. Anonymous destination opens, selected plans, shares and downloads then show what travellers actually value. Over time the planner can rank better options for each country, season, budget and traveller type—without needing personal identity.
Research-led routes you can customise

TravelOnTales itinerary library

Start with a clear route, then change the dates, budget, pace and places. These are editorial plans—not fabricated visitor submissions.

Built from destination research and practical route logic. Current opening hours, permits, weather and prices are checked again when planning.

Why use this instead of a general chatbot?

A decision system, not a travel essay.

1Your constraints become rules

Dates, traveller count, budget, walking ability, food, pace and “avoid” requests change the actual schedule.

2Named evidence replaces “sightseeing”

The planner uses specific attractions and stay options from the destination database and approved place sources.

3Three feasible versions

Save, balanced and comfort plans show different trade-offs—not the same itinerary rewritten three times.

4A reality check

Arrival days stay light, safari gates matter, transfer buffers are protected and unknown facts are marked for checking.

5Calendar intelligence

Weekends and national public holidays are shown so crowds, closures and leave days become part of the decision.

6You learn how to book

It explains the right area, room, timing and cancellation terms before any optional provider button appears.

In plain language: what is an API? It is a permitted data connection. The planner asks a trusted service for a current fact—such as a place name, hotel, map location, weather or holiday—and then explains that fact inside your trip. .

    Build while you learn

How data science makes this planner better

Today the trip-fit score is a transparent rule-based calculation. The planner now records de-identified choices needed to train logistic regression later; no learned probability is shown until the model has enough reliable examples.

Current stage: collecting anonymous training signals
    01Working now: clear rules

Rank using budget fit, month, interests, pace and accessibility without presenting the result as AI probability.

    02Collect useful labels

Record option selections, keeps, skips, preferred hotels, saves, shares and provider openings.

    03Train and test

Logistic regression will predict selection or saving only after enough genuine positive and negative examples exist.

    04Activate only if better

Compare precision at three against the rule-based system and retain the clearer system until the model wins.
