India’s Forests, Through Honest Eyes
Real safaris. Real forests. Real moments — from the tiger corridors of Tadoba to the birding grasslands of Bhigwan.

India’s Wild Places, One Field Note at a Time
TravelOnTales is a wildlife and bird photography blog by Prashant S. Gupta — a field photographer, naturalist and digital storyteller based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. TravelOnTales documents India’s forests, birds, tigers, and wild landscapes through honest, unedited field photography.
With an ever-growing collection of field articles, a wide diversity of species documented, and visits to India’s most important wildlife reserves — Tadoba, Bandhavgarh, Bhigwan, Panna, Kanha, and Ranthambore — TravelOnTales is a trusted resource for birders, wildlife photographers, and safari travellers across India..
- Honest Visuals. No Photoshop. No studio lighting. Every image is exactly as shot — real light, real animals, real India. Shot on Nikon Z50.
- Field Observation. Every article includes species name, scientific name, date, location, habitat notes and behaviour context. Photography as knowledge, not just aesthetics.
- Conservation First. Observe, disturb nothing, record what’s real. We maintain respectful distance, follow local guidelines, and share field knowledge responsibly.
